 | Buttressing our engagingonline courses is a wealth of adult learning, web-based training(WBT), and enterprise operations experience. President S. Troy Davidson, CTM As an undergrad at TexasA&M University and member ofthe Corps of Cadets, Troy was exposed toadditionalleadership classes covering such topics as Stephen Covey’s 7 Habits ofHighly Effective People. It wasn’t until his financialservicesexperience spanning ten years at Great Southern Life and AIG that herealized the potential these leadership classes held – if onlyadditional financial life skills topics were included. As e-business manager forthe life division of the world’slargest insurer, Troy honed his technical, operational, and businessskills resulting in successful solutions for a field force of over70,000 agents including multi-million dollar projects. During this timehe joined Toastmasters International earning Competent Toastmaster(CTM) honors and, as an internal technology consultant and industrystandards advocate, presented at ACORD’s 2003 Annual Conference onbehalf of AIG and Hooper Holmes/Portamedic and at Microsoft’s 2004Financial Services Sales Meeting in partnership with Blue FrogSolutions. At Homeland Securitycontractor and e-learning company K2Share,Troy learned the ropes of a small technology business while serving asE-Learning Program Manager and Director of Managed Services. Herestructured IT and Support departments, and refocused the Securitydepartment all to establish them as centers of excellence amongHomeland Security contractors. Additionally, he led the e-learningprogram out of a negative margin situation through cost savings, temporary subcontracting, selling outsourcing services, recuperatinglost revenue from runaway projects, and an emphasis on stringentpricing and project controls. The experience gained in contracting, forecasting, pricing, prospecting, and running a cash flow businesscoupled with continued technology exposure into the disciplines ofadult learning were exactly the missing ingredients this innovatorneeded. Working with federal, state, and private clients including theDept. of Homeland Security, Texas Dept. ofEmergency Management, Pier1,Texas A&M, LSU, New Mexico Tech, Texas Health Resources, DavidWeekley Homes, and Standard Pacific Homes, Troy forged solidrelationships based on communication, anticipating client needs, andexceeding customary expectations. Specifically, his e-learning workincluded managing custom content creation and delivery forinstructor-led training (ILT) and web-based training (WBT), technicaldocumentation, and Preceptor™, the company’s learning management system(LMS). As you can see, Troydeveloped and fine-tuned the concept thatled to the creation of Crosswise Learning, LLC over the course of aboutfourteen years. As President, he is responsible for all facets ofestablishing, running, and promoting the company. Snapshot: - Education:
